THE HR
CHALLENGE
This project involved the sale of a large part of the business and subsequent TUPE transfer of the majority of its employees, including a voluntary redundancy programme, a relocation and post-transfer restructure.
HOW WE
HELPED THEM
We were involved with a lot of different elements in this project.
Specifically: –
- We drew up a detailed road map outlining each stage of the TUPE transfer and restructure.
- We managed all of the employee interactions, consultations and issues arising from the transfer and relocation.
- We provided strategic HR for both companies involved in the transfer.
- We created and managed a voluntary redundancy scheme for those employees not wanting to be part of the relocation.
- We managed the restructure post-TUPE, along with its selection processes and consultation.
- We continued to support the restructure post-transfer until everything was in place.
Other projects undertaken included: –
- Training and developing the leadership team to manage employee relations, hold difficult conversations and nurture employee development.
- Senior team recruitment.
- Creating post-transfer appraisal systems for each of the companies.
- Insourcing the payroll function.
- Advising on regulated company issues and providing guidance on navigating PRA and FSA requirements.
- Comprehensive review of Ts & Cs and benefits, together with support to implement the recommended changes.
- Ongoing HR support in all areas.
