Allyson has worked in HR for 20+ years, mostly within hospitality, leisure and high street retail. As such, she is no stranger to working in fast-paced, agile commercial sectors. Allyson has worked in generalist operational-focused field roles supporting business delivery through people, together with more strategic roles as part of HR leadership teams and within business start-ups.

Specifically, Allyson specialises in employee relations helping large businesses deliver their ER agenda, together with business transformation, large-scale restructures, TUPE, employee engagement, policy and procedure, employee handbooks, cultural change and managing and identifying business risk.

She has also been involved in several strategic projects such as harmonising terms and conditions across businesses growing through acquisition, driving the TUPE programme within a highly recognisable retail brand for franchisee models, delivering large-scale redundancy programmes during a CVA (Company Voluntary Arrangement) and working within unionised environments to renegotiate terms. Allyson is adept at cutting through complexity and finding a pragmatic solution to risk, and is conversant in working at fast pace and in changing environments.

Managed a large-scale TUPE process for a major global retail brand, from a managed business to numerous franchisees.

Managed large-scale redundancies, disposals and restructures for several highly recognised retail brands.

Implemented commercially harmonised contractual terms across a large retail business, from reviewing employee relations advice and recommendations, and large-scale consultation and negotiation to handbook and policy design, and implementation of and embedding new terms.
