EMPLOYMENT LAW UPDATE

From 6th April '25, parents of sick or premature babies can take 1 week of neonatal leave AND receive pay for each continuous week of neonatal care (up to a max of 12 weeks).

They can also take it on top of other parental leave (eg. maternity/paternity).

EMPLOYMENT LAW UPDATE...

👍From April 2025, statutory sick pay goes up from £116.75 to £118.75 per week.

EMPLOYMENT LAW UPDATE...

👍From April 2025, parental leave pay goes up.

Statutory maternity pay goes up from £184.03 to £187.18 per week (up to 39 weeks).

Statutory paternity, adoption, parental bereavement and shared parental pay also increase to £187.18 per week.

EMPLOYMENT LAW UPDATE...

👍From April 2025, National Insurance liability for small business owners is coming down.

This means the Employment Allowance will increase from £5,000 to £10,500 to allow small businesses to reduce their National Insurance liability.
